Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London

German Christmas Market at Hyde Park is a wonderful place to visit during Christmas season and it is a place to add onto London travel list. It is free admission and I recommend to visit at night in order to enjoy the lights up atmosphere and variety of snacks and wines. The nearest tube stations are Marble Arch, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner, Victoria and Knightsbridge and they are within walking distance. The entire place is similar to a funfair with a number of rides, an ice rink and traditional wooden stalls selling Christmas decorations, handmade items, snacks, wine and more. The market gets quite crowded during the weekend but it is worthwhile to visit for the first time. (Year 2008)
