The iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris was once the tallest building in the world completed in 1889 and held the title for 41 years. The tower is 324 meters tall which equivalent to an 81-story building and has three levels for visitors with restaurants on the first two levels. Visitors could either use the stairs or take the elevator to the first two levels. There are over 300 steps to the first floor of the Eiffel Tower and over 340 steps to reach the second level.
Eiffel Tower is unique and is a beautiful tower especially during the night when the tower is lighten up with flickering lights. The tower is also visible in many parts of the city and the up-close view of the tower is just spectacular! I would highly advise to book the tickets to the tower in advance to avoid long queue. My friends and I decided not to enter the tower as we were told that the queue was nearly 2 hours long. Nevertheless, it was lovely to spend time around the base of the tower plus it is a great location for photography. (Year 2009)
