FGS Dong Zen Temple, Malaysia

FGS Dong Zen Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Jenjarom, Malaysia. It is one the many branches of FGS(Fo Guang Shan) throughout the world with the headquarter located in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. FGS(Fo Guang Shan) literally means Buddha’s Light Mountain and the temple has become a place that many locals and foreign tourists would visit during festive season and it could get really crowded. The temple has a spacious compound but not as huge as I thought and is surrounded by beautiful garden with quite a number of interesting Buddha and 18 Luohans statues. The temple also has a comfortable prayer hall and mini exhibits of drawings related to the temple. I would recommend a visit to this temple and it would be nice to visit during Chinese New Year for the beautiful decorations of lanterns. (Year 2010)
