Wat Chayamangkalaram, Penang

My trip to Penang will not be that interesting without visiting the beautiful Thai Buddhist temple – Wat Chayamangkalaram. Despite the fact that it was extremely sunny on that day,  I had lots of fun exploring the place. The entrance to the temple is located at a busy street in Pulau Tikus in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. I particularly like the very colorful statues around the temple and the Thai architectures are impressive. The huge gold-plated statue of reclining Buddha is the highlight for visitors and it is said to be one of the longest in the world which symbolizes complete peace and detachment from the world. I would recommend a visit to this temple. (Year 2010).
