Looking for a relaxing place in Bali to enjoy a cup of most expensive coffee in the world? Bali Pulina Agro Tourism is the perfect destination that not only provide free Civet Coffee (known as Kopi Luwak in Indonesia) tasting but also allow tourist to witness the traditional process coffee making. Luwak Coffee is also known as cat poop coffee because the coffee beans produced have been digested by palm civet cat. Civet cat normally eat the ripest coffee cherries and the coffee beans will be defecated after about 24 hours. The feces of civet cat will be collected, washed, dried, pounded to remove the skin, sorted and finally roasted.
In Bali Pulina, tourist could enjoy the beautiful landscape of the herbal and fruits plantation while enjoying a cup of Civet Coffee. It is free admission which includes a short guided tour from the English speaking local staff to introduce the process of making Luwak Coffee. I am not a coffee person but I would highly recommend this interesting place to anyone especially to coffee lover. In fact, I never knew about the existence of Luwak Coffee until I visited Bali Pulina. (Year 2015)
